This website introduces ROOTED Discipleship Journey, a Christian discipleship program within the life of City on a Hill Church in Benoni, South Africa. It provides information about spiritual formation, teaching, mentoring, community life, service, outreach, program pathways, applications, accommodation and fees.
This disclaimer explains the scope of that information. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and any program agreement supplied during enrolment.
Christian teaching and pastoral guidance
Scripture, teaching, reflections and mentoring content express the program’s Christian faith and discipleship approach. They are offered for spiritual learning and reflection.
Website content and general pastoral guidance are not a substitute for individual medical, psychological, legal or financial advice from an appropriately qualified professional. Do not delay necessary professional care because of something read on this website. Our enquiry channels are not an emergency response service.
Program information, applications and fees
We aim to present useful and accurate information, but dates, schedules, availability, activities, accommodation arrangements and fees may change. Please confirm the details of your intended intake with the ROOTED team before making travel plans, paying fees or entering other commitments.
Submitting an enquiry or application does not guarantee acceptance, accommodation or a place in a particular intake. Acceptance follows the program’s application and confirmation process.
The applicable written enrolment, payment, cancellation and accommodation terms must be provided and considered before commitment. A website description of a deposit as non-refundable remains subject to applicable law and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. This disclaimer does not create a new cancellation policy or permit unilateral changes to an existing agreement.
Personal growth and testimonials
Spiritual formation and leadership development are personal processes. Participation does not guarantee a particular spiritual, personal, employment or ministry outcome, appointment or qualification.
Testimonies describe individual experiences and perspectives. They should not be understood as promises that another participant will have the same experience. Photographs may show previous participants or activities and do not guarantee a particular future activity or arrangement.
References to students, teaching or a program do not themselves represent an accredited academic qualification. Ask the team to confirm any specific accreditation claim before relying on it.
Activities and participation
Community living, retreats, service, outreach and travel may involve practical risks and responsibilities. Participants should obtain the relevant activity information, discuss support needs and follow reasonable safety instructions. Any specific permissions and participation terms must be addressed separately.
This website disclaimer is not a personal-injury waiver, parental consent form or release of safeguarding responsibilities. It does not remove duties of care or other legal obligations.

Website text, photographs, branding, recordings and learning resources may be protected by copyright and other rights held by ROOTED or the relevant rights holders. You may access content for personal information and use it where permitted by law.
